Maurizio’s work centres on the wilderness and landscapes of Italy, but also of northern Europe and the Arctic. He is a regular contributor to National Geographic Italia, BBC Wildlife, Terre Sauvage and many other nature magazines. His awards include Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year and GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Maurizio has participated in the Wild Wonders of Europe and has published five books, four of which on assignement for the Italian Ministry for Environment and the region of Umbria.
